Introduction
The birds are singing, the early morning dew speckle the foliage, the air is fresh and fragrant—there is great promise to this morning’s sunrise in Carmel. In our gathering of friends and BMW enthusiasts we don’t know what to expect of this David Crum-led Festorics Back Roads tour. What I do know is that at this present moment there’s no better place than this Friday morning behind the Rio Grill east of Highway 1 on the western edge of Carmel Valley. Our twelve BMWs await for the tour to begin—an ultimate pleasure on a lazy early morning.
